Membership Categories

KACA offers one student membership category and four non-student/faculty membership categories.

Silver, Gold, and Platinum members will be acknowledged as such in all KACA publications. Contributions that exceed the regular membership dues are maintained separately from KACA’s general operating account and are used to support graduate student members through scholarships, paper awards, and program-related initiatives.

Platinum members may choose to allocate their dues to the Graduate Student Program Fund or designate a special fund of their choice. Popular options include the Young Scholar’s Award Fund, the KACA Graduate Representative Scholarship, or a Research Award named in honor of someone meaningful to the donor.

All membership categories include access to the KACA Newsletter and Members Page. Members can also access the most up-to-date membership directory through our website.

Membership fees will be adjusted effective November 7, 2025. However, memberships renewed between May and November 6, 2025, will be valid until December 31, 2026. If you renewed your membership earlier this year (Before May), your membership will be valid until December 31, 2025.

Student Member

Annual membership covering participation in all KACA events and communications, which includes, but is not limited to:
- Voting rights in KACA elections
- Eligibility to attend KACA-hosted networking dinners/receptions (at additional cost, when available)
- Eligibility to present at the four annual conferences
- **Post-doctoral fellows eligible for Student Membership
- **Eligibility for graduate student travel support
- Eligibility for KACA research grants
- Eligibility for KACA research and service awards
Access to exclusive mentorship programs and professional development workshops including job-search seminars

Regular Member

All benefits of Student Membership (except for graduate student travel support), plus:
- Eligibility to chair panels or moderate sessions at annual conferences (subject to selection)
- Eligibility to participate in professional development workshops for faculty
Note: Regular members have the option to make an additional voluntary contribution of $5 or more to support student members and KACA operation costs. Members may designate their contribution to one or more of the following designated funds:
- Graduate student travel support
- KACA conference support
- KJC publication support
- KACA operations

Prime Member

All benefits of Regular Membership, plus:
- Early access to conference materials and recordings, accommodation
- Recognition on the KACA website and newsletter
- Promotion for the conference nomination/election
Note: Prime Membership includes Regular Membership ($50) plus a symbolic contribution ($97 = $19 + $78) recognizing 1978, the year KACA was founded.

Lifetime Member

$1000 (One time)
All benefits of Prime Membership, plus:
- Lifetime recognition on the KACA website, newsletter, and conference programs
- Eligibility to become a Champion member by making additional donations.
